IPL : Laser Hair removal

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a cosmetic skin treatment. Our clinic utilises this multi-tasking efficient system to reduce the signs of ageing or remove unwanted hair.

IPL hair removal procedures: A wavelength system that heats up and targets the (only)dark pigments in the hair strand, this focused heat very successfully breaks down hair growth systems in the follicles causing permanent hair removal. Skin colour needs to be 5 shades lighter than the colour of the hair for the wavelength to pick up the colour of the hair.

Procedure time: 15 min – 1hr dependant on size of area treated

Sessions needed: A minimum of 8 sessions are required at various intervals ( depending on the site of the body treated: 4 – 6 weeks ). 

Preparation: Hair needs to be shaved 2 days before the treatment date to create stubble for ideal treatable lengths for the laser treatment to be successful.
